Maine Ag Trades Show in Augusta – January 11-13

By jilladmin • January 4th, 2011

Once again, the Maine Alpaca Association will have an information booth at the Maine Ag Trades Show in the Augusta Civic Center from January 11 through January 13. Members will be on hand to answer all your alpaca questions, show samples of alpaca product and provide membership information. In addition, MAA is sponsoring a series of educational seminars throughout the day on January 13. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from local alpaca experts (including me!) on a variety of topics – all free!

Tentative schedule:

9:00 Big Money on Small Acreage – Profiting with Alpacas (Terry Callery, Village Farm)

10:00 Meningeal Worm (Jill McElderry-Maxwell, Bag End Suri Alpacas)

11:00 What To Do with All That Fiber (Pam Harwood, Longwoods Alpacas)

12:00 Camelidynamics – Handling and Training Alpacas & Llamas (Jeanine Anderson, Gaze Acres)

1:00 Maine Economic Development Program – Locally Made Socks (Claudia Raessler, Suripaco)
