I knew Savannah had to cover black

By jilladmin • August 18th, 2010

and she just proved me right by delivering a true black, 19 pound male on Saturday. We’re naming him Morimiril – “shining black jewel.” His sire is Allegheny Peruvian King Coal, the top suri herdsire at MAPACA this year. Mori is full Peruvian and has rare Rufino genetics, as his mother is a Rufino daughter.

Mori has good luster under all the dust (another early roller!) and has been growing steadily. Savannah is a good mother, but her kids do have to learn to drink quickly – she’s not the most patient when they’re nursing. Mori is also going to have to learn to deal with four big brother cria who are all ready to pounce on the new guy. I suspect he’s going to grow up quickly…
