Fiber Stats: Lindy will be sheared for the first time in the spring of 2010

UPDATE – Lindy placed second in her class of five never shorn fawn yearlings at MAPACA this past weekend.  It was her intense luster, solid conformation and good size (she was youngest – and largest – in the class) that gave her the edge over some slightly denser animals.

Lindy took the blue at Empire, with the judge giving her the edge over a slightly denser animal due to her excellent luster. He also noted her strong conformation, uniform and consistent locking and pleasing handle. We’re certainly pleased, especially since Lindy repeated with another blue at Green Mountain. We are looking forward to showing her against more competition this spring.

Tingilindë (“twinkling star”) is full of vim and vigor, and as a young cria gained over half a pound a day with an IgG of over 2400. At eight months old, she is over 100 pounds, and covered in tight, twisted locks with excellent luster and good density. Her light fawn locks are independent and she carries good leg coverage and a nicely typey topknot and beard. She is curious, alert and easy to handle, with a proud carriage and good conformation.

She is going to be something special, and carries black genetics from her sire, the incomparable MacGyver son, Sirius Black. Look for her in the show ring as a yearling this spring at MAPACA and the Buckeye.
